I used embroidery, different forms of ephemera, and a dress from a thrift store to capture the memory of being harassed as I walked alone at night. I embroidered the thrift store dress as if I were writing in my diary. The slow practice of piecing together this memory in a tactile way enabled me to rise above the trauma associated with that experience.
